Roadtrip

This past Saturday, Drew and I took a roadtrip with our friends Justin and Brance. We were heading to Plymouth, MA for a reception honoring the marriage of our friend Derek and his wife Jen. Here are some pics of our adventure. I love good friends and good times. These pics are all in opposite order of the when they happened. Blogspot and I are not agreeing right now on picture postings : (.

We got to see the actual Plymouth ROCK!

The newlyweds and our gang. They got married in March in UT, where she is from. They had this reception in MA where he is from.
Pretty Dancing!! They are both great.

Neighborhood and more random pics

This is a HUGE barrel of MSG from a truck in chinatown...This was hilarious to me for some reason. NOBODY wants MSG in their food...lol.
This is a great little shop in our hood. You can get the yummiest hummus, baba ganoush and sandwiches for cheap, cheap, cheap!!
This is our ABSOLUTE favorite diner in our neighborhood. We love Foxy's Saturday brunch. The food is great, prices decent and the service is fab. The owner and most of the wait staff know us. I love it!

A cool shop one block away from us. They specialize in British/Irish food imports and have great cuts of meat. Our friends who visited us did a semester abroad in London and were so happy when we brought them to this store. Lots of fun food items!

Some classy Easter decorations :)

An interesting bldg in our hood.

A sign in Chelsea that made me happy b/c it made me think of our cat Artie.

This is in our hood and I took the pic for my sister, Lauren.

Projects Galore

Since moving to NYC I have definitely re-found my inner homemaker. I got a sewing machine at Christmas (thx sissy Lareine) and have been going to town with it. Here are some of my projects I have most recently working on.

This is the blanket I knitted for Maggie's little girl Molly. It matches her bedding. I can't wait to meet her!

This is a dress and hat I made for Little Molly. This was a hard project but I was very happy with the end result. This is the back of the dress and has strawberry buttons on the top. You can't see them very well on here.
This is the little beach hat I made to go with it. It has a bow and strawberry on the top. It's also lined.

I thought this dress would look so cute in Charleston where they live : ).

This is a dress I made for Mia's 5th birthday. I made her a matching dress for a doll.
